Hey there, I'm

Shubham Ojha

Backend & Cloud Engineering Student

Final-year Computer Science student based in Warsaw. I build backend systems with Java and deploy them on AWS. Currently exploring data engineering and always looking for the next thing to break and fix.

About Me

Shubham Ojha

Backend Developer & Cloud Enthusiast

I'm a final-year Computer Science Engineering student at Vistula University in Warsaw, specialising in cloud and backend systems. Most of my time goes into building APIs, understanding how things scale, and figuring out the best way to deploy them.

My main stack is Java — I like that it forces you to think about structure. I've been working with AWS for a while now and have a few cloud certs to show for it. I'm also picking up data engineering on the side because it genuinely interests me.

Outside of code, I play chess at around 1400 ELO. It's a good habit for someone who writes backend logic — you get used to thinking a few steps ahead.

What I work with

Java Kotlin Spring Boot REST APIs AWS Docker SQL Git Linux Node.js Python

What I'm Good At

Java Backend

Building server-side applications with Java and Spring Boot. Clean architecture, RESTful APIs, proper error handling — the stuff that actually matters in production.

Cloud & Deployment

Deploying real applications on GCP and AWS — Cloud Run, Compute Engine, GKE, EC2, S3. I've containerized with Docker, set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and actually shipped things that are live.

Databases & SQL

Designing schemas, writing queries, thinking about how data flows through a system. Comfortable with relational databases and learning more about data pipelines.

Featured Projects

Blockchain Java
Java Multithreading SHA-256 Proof-of-Work

Multithreaded Blockchain in Java

A blockchain built from scratch in Java — SHA-256 hashing, chain validation, proof-of-work mining, and concurrent miners competing via Java threads. Currently implementing shared-state synchronisation to handle race conditions.

Weather App
Kotlin Android REST API

Weather App

An Android weather app built in Kotlin that fetches real-time data from an external weather API. Clean UI, live API calls, and proper error handling for network failures.
